VESPERS SERVICE AT THE HOLY TRINITY CATHEDRAL IN BRUNSWICK, MELBOURNE

On Saturday, November 23rd, His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan of Australia and New Zealand prayerfully attended the Vespers service at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Brunswick, Melbourne. With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Petar served Vespers in the prayerful presence of His Eminence, clergy of the city of Melbourne and the faithful. This was a traditional gathering before the beginning of the Nativity fast at the Holy Trinity Church, and this year the celebration was enhanced by the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan.

The Metropolitan delivered an inspiring sermon, reminding the clergy and the faithful about the history of our church, the forebears and priests who carried the spiritual life of this community on their shoulders.

During the sermon, the Metropolitan thanked the former Parish Rector, Father Milorad Lončar, for his selfless work in the Lord’s vineyard, wishing him good health and a blessed retirement. To the newly appointed parish priest, Father Bogdan Milić, the Metropolitan wished God’s blessing in his new assignment, emphasizing that priesthood is a calling to serve others. The Metropolitan also called on the faithful to continue gathering in our church, which is pre-eminently a place of prayer and worship, of communion with God.

A generous meal for all attendees was organised by the hardworking sisters from the Circle of Serbian Sisters at the Holy Trinity, to whom Metropolitan Siluan expressed his special thanks, highlighting their effort and work..
