NATIVITY OF CHRIST AT THE CATHEDRAL OF THE HOLY TRINITY IN BRUNSWICK, MELBOURNE

On Tuesday, January 7, when our Holy Church celebrates the most joyous feast of the Nativity of Christ, His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan served Divine Hierarchical Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Brunswick, Melbourne with the concelebration of

Archimandrite Petar, Chancellor ad interim, Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Petar Damjanović, Dean of the Melbourne and Adelaide Deanery, retired Priest Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Miroslav Popović, the Rector of the cathedral, Father Bogdan Milić, and Proto-Deacon Petar Mrakić. During the Divine Liturgy, Archimandrite Petar read the Nativity Epistle of the Serbian Orthodox Church. After the liturgy, the Metropolitan blessed the Christmas bread, which was then distributed to the children. In his address to the faithful, Metropolitan Siluan congratulated everyone on the feast of the Holy Nativity. In his message, the Metropolitan wished that today’s joy would fill our homes, and that our hearts would warm with love for all people. The cave of Bethlehem is where God’s love for mankind was revealed, and where God became one of us to bring us closer to Him. Various godless philosophies may lead us far from God, which is why we must always stand firm in the faith the Holy Fathers, and only in this way will we know that we are on the path of Saint Sava and will not betray it.

At the end of the paternal message, Father Bogdan, addressed the Metropolitan, thanking him on behalf of the clergy and people for his paternal guidance, care, and love that he always shows to us.
