GREAT VESPERS AND FUND-RAISING INITIATIVE AT ST GEORGE SERBIAN ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL

On Saturday, the 28th of September 2024, vespers was served at the St George Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Cabramatta. On this occasion, His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan celebrated his Name Day with the clergy and faithful of the Sydney Deanery. Their Excellencies the General Consul of Serbia, Mr. Jakov Rogan and Vice Consul Mr. Borislav Petkovic were also present.

After the vespers service, His Eminence spoke about the central place of the Holy Cross in our lives as Orthodox Christians, about the significance of prayer and unity among the faithful in these testing times.

After the vespers service, an agape meal was prepared and served for all by the Circle of Serbian Sisters, followed by a fund-raiser aimed at completing the Museum complex dedicated to St Nikolai Velimirovich in Monastery Lelic, Serbia.
