Sremski Karlovci, June 5, 2025 — Today, at the Serbian Orthodox Theological Seminary of St. Arsenije in Sremski Karlovci, the 58th generation of the reestablished Seminary, officially completed their education. With the final exam successfully passed by all graduating students, their five-year theological education was brought to a close.
During the examination period, the graduates demonstrated exceptional knowledge, maturity, and a deep sense of responsibility toward the vocation they are pursuing, affirming the quality of education provided by this ancient school of the Church. Their theological development was accompanied by spiritual growth, making them worthy representatives and successors of the theological tradition upheld by our Seminary. The representative of the Holy Assembly of Bishops at this year’s graduation was the cross-bearing Protopresbyter Dr. Darko Djogo, professor at the Orthodox Theological Faculty of St. Basil of Ostrog in Foca.
Following the final exam, Their Eminences Metropolitan Siluan of Australia and New Zealand and Metropolitan Vasilije of Srem arrived at the Seminary, attending the announcement of the exam results and student achievements. The examination board confirmed that all candidates had passed the Theological Maturity Exam. After a group photo, a festive luncheon followed, during which speeches were given by the graduate Vladimir Vranic, the Seminary’s rector Protopresbyter Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Jovan Milanovic, Dr. Darko Djogo, Father Djordje Milidrag, who was the homeroom teacher of this generation, and both hierarchs.
With the singing of the traditional “Many Years” (Mnogoletstvije) and the presentation of commemorative gifts, this year’s graduation ceremony was brought to a close.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our dear graduates, wishing them a blessed journey as they continue to serve the Church — whether in the priesthood, monastic life, or further theological studies.
