FEAST OF SAINT PARASKEVA SOLEMNLY CELEBRATED AT ST SAVA MONASTERY IN ELAINE

Following his archpastoral visit to the Melbourne church communities of Saint George the Great Martyr in St. Albans and Saint Paraskeva in Rockbank, His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan of Australia and New Zealand visited the Monastery of Saint Sava in Elaine on the eve of the Feast of Saint Paraskeva.

On the day of the feast, the Metropolitan prayerfully attended the Divine Liturgy served in the Church of Saint Sava, where, after the Prayer behind the Ambo, he cut the Slava bread prepared by Archimandrite Lazar, who celebrates Saint Paraskeva as his family patron saint.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence delivered a homily on the theme of the feast and the Gospel reading, extending his congratulations to Fr. Lazar and the brotherhood on their celebration.

After the Divine Liturgy, a fellowship meal (trpeza ljubavi, “table of love”) was served.
