His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan was prayerfully present at Divine Liturgy served by Protopresbyter-stavrofor Djuro Djurdjevic. Before the dismissal, His Eminence blessed the Slava Bread prepared by the Circle of Serbian Sisters in honour of the Most Holy Theotokos.

At the conclusion of Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Siluan delivered a sermon about the gracious presence and solicitude of the Blessed Mother of God in our Christian lives, whose prayers are a real protective veil for Christians.

In the spirit of Serbian hospitality and Christian love, a festive meal of love was served in the church hall by the Circle of Serbian Sisters for all present.

In the evening hours numerous faithful gathered at the Cathedral to prayerfully greet the Wonderworkering Kursk icon of the Mother of God.

The icon was accompanied by Protopresbyter-stavrophor Boris Ignatievsky from the Pokrov ROCOR Parish in Cabramatta. The visit of this great shrine of the Russian Orthodox Church was a great blessing for all. On this occasion His Eminence Metropolitan Siluan served an Akathist to the Mother of God with the concelebration of clergy and prayerful participation of numerous faithful who had come to offer supplications and venerate this most revered icon.
