The Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand of the Serbian Orthodox Church and His Grace Bishop Irinej are pleased to announce that the Supreme Court of New South Wales has today, 24 December 2015, confirmed the orders made by the Court on 29 May 2015 and adopted the scheme put forward by His Grace Bishop Irinej for the future management of the St Sava Monastery under the auspices of the Metropolitanate and the authority of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

On St Andrew's feast day, Sunday 13 December 2015, His Grace Bishop Irinej celebrated hierarchical Liturgy at St George Historic Cathedral in Cabramatta, NSW. His co-celebrants were Very Reverend Protopresbyter-stavrophor Djuro Djurdjevic the dean of the Cabramatta parish, V. Rev. Protopresbyter-stavrophor Nikola Bilic dean of the Darwin parish, V. Rev. Presbyter Nemanja Mrdjenovic second parish priest of the Cabramatta parish, as well as V. Rev. Protodeacon Petar Mrakic and Rev. Deacon Aleksandar Ivanovic the secretary of the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand. The Cabramatta parish choir, aided by a couple of voices from the Lazarica choir and directed by Ms Darija Galic M. Mus, sang angelically.

Last Sunday, 22 November 2015, a picnic was organised in Olympic Park, Sydney, to showcase the latest of updates in relation to the soon-approaching Serbian Festival Sydney. The Serbian Orthodox Youth Association - SOYA intended to promote youth networking and to allow the public to meet the current team, chaired by Dimitrije Grasar, the organisational backbone for our festival to be held 6 and 7 February at Darling Harbour.

This very solemn occasion was enhanced with two important events for this parish, which consists of Orthodox faithful who come from almost all over the world, and is known for conducting services in the English language.
